Different Types of Cannabidiol Products

The legalization of CBD by the food and drug administration has led to diverse CBD products in the cannabis market. The multiple products come in gummies, capsules, creams, and vapes. Herein, we discuss the different CBD products and how they are used for multiple health and therapeutic benefits.

Cannabinoids are widely appreciated by many due to the health benefits they contain. CBD is the second most common cannabidiol used as a specimen in many labs. It is derived from hemp and cannabis plants. Hemp-derived CBD does not have high levels of THC compared to marijuana. Therefore, it cannot get you high. CBD consumers can easily access the compound since it is infused in many products ranging from gummies, drinks, vapes, capsules, and creams. This has made it easy for consumers to enjoy the products based on their needs.

CBD Oil Gummies and Sweets

CBD gummies are candies infused with cannabidiol. The gummies can be infused with CBD isolate or full spectrum CBD. Isolate CBD contains only CBD, while the full spectrum has all the compounds from the cannabis plant, including the psychoactive THC.

CBD Gummies come in different tastes and flavors, and thus the user can choose from the best form of CBD which can serve their needs. According to García-Gutiérrez et al. (2020), CBD can alleviate mental disorders such as stress, anxiety, and depression. The gummies can relax the body and the mind.

Using CBD gummies is the most discrete way of enjoying CBD because you can take the compounds from any place and at any time. It is also the best form of taking CBD for beginners since it covers the weedy test. Pooping CBD gummy before a strenuous event is easy and can calm you down.

The gummies take a long to manifest since the compound is subjected to the fast-pass process; they are broken down in the digestive tract before being absorbed into the bloodstream. While the gummies are sweets, one should take a limited amount daily. CBD gummies can considerably substitute the capsules or night drops

CBD Oil Drops

After extraction, CBD is infused with carrier oils such as coconut and hemp seed oil. The carrier oil does not affect the potency and effectiveness of the compound. The oil increases the product’s bioavailability since the compound is absorbed into the bloodstream in the mouth. CBD oil is the best for infusing other products, foods, and beverages. However, when infused in food, it takes longer before being absorbed into the bloodstream. CBD oil can help with diverse health benefits. Überall (2020) opined that CBD can relieve different forms of pain, such as nerve, joint, and muscle pain. Easing pain is one of the main reasons for the widespread of CBD.

CBD Infused Drinks

There are different forms in which you can get CBD. CBD-infused drinks are increasing, and many people tend to enjoy them because as much as you take your drink, you will benefit from CBD. There are no legal actions against the manufacturers and sellers other than issuing warning letters. Also, you can make your own CBD drink by manually adding the compound to your favorite drink to enjoy body relaxation and pain relief.

CBD Vape Juice and Disposables

CBD can also take the vape form; it is infusible in vape juices. The vape juice is also called CBD oil or liquid. It would help if you had a vape pen to enjoy CBD through this method. The pen contains a cartridge where the compound is exposed to a specific temperature, changing it to vapor directly inhaled into the lungs. Vaping has high bioavailability, and its effects manifest almost immediately compared to edibles. The vape relieves pain and insomnia (Teitelbaum, 2019). Vaping is suitable for people who have problems falling asleep; it takes about 5- 15 minutes to manifest. Studies show that CBD vaping is healthy compared to smoking since it does not expose the compounds to full combustion, posing a threat to delicate organs such as the liver and lungs.

CBD Capsules

CBD can also be encapsulated. Capsules are already measured and thus do not have dosage confusion like CBD oil. They also do not get messy; therefore, you can take the capsules even in a hurry. The capsules are discrete and convenient; you can carry them anywhere by taking a few capsules. CBD capsules take a long time for the effect to surface since the capsules need to dissolve to release CBD into the body. Teitelbaum (2019) stated that CBD can treat two rare forms of epilepsy diagnosed in early childhood.

CBD Relief Cream

CBD creams are designed for topical use. The cream interacts with the cannabinoid receptors in the skin to dispense health and therapeutic effects in the body. The cream can relieve skin problems such as acne and eczema. Since the cream is directly applied to the affected area, it offers a fast and immediate effect on pain.

CBD Beauty Products and Cosmetics

CBD is also infused in many other skincare products, such as body wash, face scrubs, and moisturizers. Most skin care products infused with CBD are reliable since you benefit from it. CBD acts as an additional compound; thus, you can benefit from its anti-inflammation effect, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal properties. Gildea et al. (2022) opined that CBD prevents skin infections caused by fungi and bacteria due to its anti-fungal and bacterial effects.

 Conclusion

CBD is appreciated for its health benefits on the body. It relieves pain, alleviates mental issues such as stress and anxiety, and improves sleep. Since the legalization of CBD, companies have been making diverse CBD products, including gummies, capsules, creams, and vapes. Despite CBD intake, start slowly, and then add the dosage gradually. While CBD is generally tolerated in the body, it may negatively react with other medications. Hence, users should seek medical advice to avoid adverse effects.
