Do you want to discover the various methods to consume CBD wax? This article discusses various ways of consuming CBD wax, what CBD wax is, various types of CBD wax, and the forms of CBD wax.

Since the CBD market is becoming a multi-billion industry, more innovations are being noticed in cannabinoids. It is no surprise that the CBD industry is growing since it has almost everything for anyone. Anybody can use CBD products, including patients, fitness enthusiasts, seniors, and even your pets. The latest CBD product to hit the market is CBD wax, also referred to as wax concentrate. It looks like there is no slowing down regarding this product. Many people are embracing CBD wax since it contains various benefits. Read along to find out more about this hottest new CBD product.

What Is CBD Wax

CBD wax is a semi-solid CBD form concentrate. CBD wax does not contain THC, a psychoactive compound responsible for giving its users the high effect. For new users, the recommended dose of CBD wax is around ten milligrams. Because of its high potency, the effect of CBD wax is mostly felt within fifteen to forty minutes after its consumption. However, not everyone will experience this effect since some factors such as weight, the wax's quality, and metabolism rate affect it. CBD wax is a great option for many people who seek immediate relief from psychological conditions but do not desire the high effect during ingesting it. There are various ways to consume CBD wax, which we will discuss later in the article.

Types of CBD Wax

CBD wax comes in different types. Each type of CBD wax has its unique benefits and disadvantages. The main types of CBD wax are: broad-spectrum wax, isolate wax, and full-spectrum wax. Below the types are discussed and what makes each of them unique:

Isolate Wax

Isolate wax is also referred to as pure CBD wax. As its name suggests, it does not contain any other compound besides CBD alone. Pure CBD wax is extracted through the carbon dioxide extraction method. Since it contains a higher CBD concentration, it is costlier compared to other types of CBD wax.

Full-Spectrum Wax

Full-spectrum wax contains around eighty compounds, including tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), cannabinol (CBN), and CBD. Most people find it more beneficial since it has entourage effects. According to Ferber et al.  (2020), the entourage effect means that all the other compounds work together with CBD to produce maximum benefits. Due to this reason, it is the most effective type of CBD wax.

Broad-Spectrum Wax

The broad-spectrum CBD wax is a perfect mixture of full-spectrum CBD wax and pure CBD wax. It is because it has all the other cannabinoids except THC. It is a preferred option for people who want to experience the effects of other cannabinoids except for THC.

Ways to Consume CBD Wax

There are various ways you can ingest CBD wax, but the most common way is dabbing; thus, it is the reason why most people prefer CBD wax as a CBD dab. Some of the various methods are discussed below which you can consume CBD wax, helping you decide which way will work the best.

Dabbing

Dabbing is the most popular way of consuming CBD wax. At first, this process may seem foreign; however, getting used to it becomes easy. Dabbing requires a dab rig. Dab rigs have various sizes and shapes, so you can choose the one that suits you. The dab rig contains a nail where the wax vaporizes. The nail is made of ceramic or glass which cannot be damaged by heat. Hadener et al. (2019) suggested that to dab, you put a little CBD wax on the already stated nail, turning into a vapor you inhale.

Bong

If you are familiar with a bong, CBD wax can be consumed using a bong; just put your wax in the bong's bowl, light it and inhale it like you normally do.

Vaporizing

Most people enjoy vaporizing CBD wax. The good thing about vaping is that you can do it anywhere since all you need is a vape pen, which you can carry anywhere. When choosing a vaporizer, choose one that contains a ceramic heating chamber and titanium coils. All you need to do is put your wax in the vaporizer and then heat it, turning the wax into vapor which you finally inhale.

Sublingual Consumption

Sublingual consumption of CBD wax involves placing the wax below the tongue. Heimann et al. 2010) stated that if you want to feel the effects of CBD wax faster, this method is a great choice since it goes directly into the blood since the tongue's capillaries absorb the wax.

Forms of CBD Wax

CBD wax exists in the following forms:

CBD Budder

CBD budder contains a gooey consistency. Its consistency is due to its high moisture and is produced at high temperatures using air pressure. The final substance after the extraction is a product that has a fluffy texture and resembles butter.

Cbd Crumble

CBD crumble brittle consistency. Like other forms of CBD wax, it is extracted by butane or carbon dioxide extraction processes. During extraction, little water is removed to make the wax less dense and become more solid. Due to its crumbly texture, it is much easier to be consumed than any other form of CBD wax since it is less sticky.

CBD Shatter

Abraham et al. ( 2022) stated that CBD shatter has a glass-like texture, making it unique. CBD shatter is translucent too. You can distinguish it very easily from the other forms of CBD wax since it resembles glass-like sheets. When heated, its consistency and texture change and resembles that of honey. CBD shatter is mostly extracted using butane. CBD shatter undergoes thorough filtration to make it purer and stronger. Its final result determines its quality. A low-quality CBD shatter wax contains other residuals of the cannabis plant.

Conclusion

CBD wax can become the most popular way of consuming CBD because of its high potency. With CBD wax, you require a little amount of it, and you will achieve your desired results. When it comes to CBD wax, less is more. However, just like any other CBD product, if it's your first time using CBD wax, consult with your doctor to give you the effects and risks of using CBD wax. Also, you should purchase your product from a brand that is well trusted and reputable. The brand should provide proof of third-party lab test results to help you know the quality of the product.
