CBD has been associated with various health benefits including skin appearance. The hemp plant was legalized in the USA because it has various chemical compounds with unique properties such as anti-inflammatory, antifungal, and antibacterial use for improving our general health. The antibacterial properties play a significant role in keeping off bacteria from our skin.
Some of the useful elements of the hemp plant with these properties include terpenes, flavonoids, and CBD. The face is an important part of our bodies that nearly everyone wishes to make its appearance smooth. CBD serum now offers you the perfect natural solution for keeping your skin moisturized and smooth at all times. But, how do you use it for maximum effectiveness?
A face serum is skincare and beauty terminology. A face serum is a lightweight formulation with numerous active ingredients for skin protection, hydration, and nourishment. It is typically used for skincare routines used for cleansing before maintaining its moisture. However, although face serums are used for maintaining the skin's moisture, they shouldn’t be confused with moisturizers. Skin moisturizers are thicker and heavier for blocking the moisture in the skin.
Consumers who wish to maximize CBD face serum, have to use it carefully to avoid any chemical reaction. CBD face serums are highly concentrated with nutrients useful for the skin. They get absorbed deeply in the skin making them useful. They work perfectly for all the face parts including the cheeks, nose, chin, and forehead. For perfect results, use it more often and use the following procedure to apply;
Ensure you clean your hands properly before getting in contact with CBD face serum. This is to minimize the contamination of bacteria that interfere with the effectiveness of CBD and other active ingredients. Before applying it to the skin, clean your face by washing it or scrubbing it. Ensure all parts of the face are wet and then dry it properly. This removes other oils and superficial dirt. Exfoliate your skin to open up the pores to allow CBD to penetrate to all parts.
For a perfect outcome, clean your face using the same procedure twice or thrice per week. Notably, avoid manual and chemical exfoliators such as glycolic acid every day.
The amount of CBD serum determines the frequency or consistency. If the serum is thinner, apply tiny amounts. Place one drop on your finger, and rub across all the areas of your face including the nose and the chin for uniformity. Rub the CBD serum gently with an upwards motion around the face.
If the serum is thick, you need to warm it in your hands for about one or two minutes before applying it. To achieve this, place the recommended drops of CBD face serum in the palm of your hands and rub your hands together for about 60 seconds. This also allows the distribution of the serum to all parts of the hands equally. Apply gently by pressing the movement of the serum around the face. Notably, ensure you cover all parts of the face including the forehead, chin and cheeks, and the nose. During application push the product gently into the skin using a sweeping motion for maximum effectiveness.
After rubbing the CBD serum in the skin, put the fingers on your cheeks and press the skin in circular motions. Repeat it across the entire face for about a minute and a half. This allows the CBD serum to get absorbed into the skin.
The CBD serum is likely to get absorbed fully into the skin in about one minute. Afterward, put a considerable amount of moisturizer in your palms and rub it all over your face including the nose, chin, and forehead. The role of the moisturizer is to seal the CBD serum in the skin allowing the nourishing properties to take effect and make the skin glow in one go. If you are following morning routines and you apply moisturizer before makeup, always allow the moisturizer to dry before starting to use any makeup.
According to Jastrzab et al. (2021), CBD has anti-inflammatory properties suitable for working naturally with the body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS), maintaining general body health. The anti-inflammatory properties are suitable for the regulation of hormones around the face making it healthier. CBD is a natural way of maintaining the health of your skin and giving it a perfect glow, which is long-lasting. According to Stella et al. (2019),CBD-enriched ointment improved skin appearance and other skin diseases including eczema, rosacea, and acne due to its anti-inflammatory properties. The research also shows promising outcomes of CBD for treating arthritis and muscle and joint pain. According to Baswan et al. (2020),the antibacterial properties of the terpenes found in the hemp plant are useful in keeping off bacteria from the skin. However, CBD should be used considerably to avoid the side effects. Liu (2019) suggested that CBD can result in dizziness and diarrhea if taken excessively.
CBD is infused in various products including topicals to maintain skin health. CBD works together with various elements of hemp such as terpenes and flavonoids, which have unique properties such as antifungal, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory suitable for maintaining the body and skin health. CBD face serums are among the top embraced natural skincare products. However, they can only be useful when used considerably. Too much CBD can result in dizziness and diarrhea. Also, it should be applied appropriately to maximize its effectiveness. Ensure you wash your hands and face and dry them before beginning to apply.
