What Are the Health Benefits of CBD Oil?

CBD oil in the United States has gained popularity after its legalization and is being adapted positively by many individuals. When an individual consumes a product with all the compounds from the hemp plant, they can experience an entourage effect resulting from the THC and CBD combination. CBD oil works differently from one person to another because of the differences in the biological body functioning. CBD can be extracted from hemp or marijuana as one contains more CBD and less THC while the other contains more THC and less. With these, it is seen that hemp-based CBD and marijuana CBD have different effects on an individual. Finlay et al. (2020)explained that when an individual consumes CBD oil, they interact with the cannabinoid receptors, which are part of the endocannabinoid system. Two receptors in the ECS perform different roles; CB1 is mainly in the brain and aid in the coordination of mood, appetite, pain, and movement, among other body functions, while CB2 is mainly in the immune system as they affect pain and inflammation. When CBD interacts with the receptors, mainly the CB1, it affects one’s body to many functions and benefits.
